The gin fizz is a very old drink and has been almost erased by time. It is great to see the Gordon’s gin company revitalise the idea of fizzy gin (that is not G&T). and post it on their own web site. This recipe comes from the marketing department of Gordon’s gin.
Gordon's Ginger Fizz

- 3–4 thin slices fresh ginger
- 50ml Gordon's gin
- 2 tsp caster sugar
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 2 squeezes fresh lemon
- Ginger ale
Instructions

Bruise the sliced ginger in the bottom of a highball glass. Add the gin and sugar, mix.

Fill the glass with ice, dash over the bitters and add the lemon. Mix. Top with ginger are and garnish with lime or ginger.
