The Lemon Drop was invented in or around the 1970s by Norman Jay Hobday, the founder and proprietor of Henry Africa’s bar in San Francisco, California. Loads of fruity variants exist, but the original recipe superb in its invocation of the classic boiled sweet of the same name.
Lemon Drop
Ingredients
- 30ml vodka citron
- 20ml triple sec
- 15ml fresh lemon juice
Instructions
Shake all the ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled Martini glass frosted with sugar.
Notes
If you lack vodka citron (which for some reason is quite hard to find at the moment), you can just increase the lemon quantity by about 5 ml.
