The Anejo Highball was invented by Dale DeGroff, author of The Essential Cocktail and The Craft of the Cocktail, and advisor to Liquor.com. The drink may have been invented during DeGroff’s time at New York’s historic Rainbow Room.
Anejo Highball
Ingredients
- 45ml white rum
- 15ml tripe sec
- 7.5ml lime juice
- Dash of Angostura bitters
- 60ml ginger beer
Instructions

Mix the first 4 ingredients in a highball glass with ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish with slices of citrus.
