Yellow Parrot

Some may think that the Yellow Parrot is a derivation of the Yellow Bird. But this notion ignores dates of publication. The Yellow Parrot first appears in Harry Craddock’s 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book. The Yellow Bird is credited to a Hawaii hotel in the 1960s, around the same time that Craddock … died.

Therefore, the Yellow Parrot pre-dates the Yellow Bird, and all subsequent derivations.
