Apples and blackberries come into season at the same time in September. So it makes perfect sense to make this glorious aperitif from Simon Difford.
No history today – the drink was invented just 4 years ago in 2015 at Difford’s private Cabinet Room bar.
Apple Black Royal
- 15ml creme de mure
- 7.5ml sour apple liqueur
- 25ml calvados
- Top with pink Champagne
Mix the first three ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into a chilled Champagne flute and top with pink Champagne. Garnish with a blackberry.
