NYC-born Lermayer is credited with sparking the Miami cocktail scene, arriving at at time when nobody was drinking anything but rum and Coke. Taking his inspiration from food, Lermayer was known for taking culinary combinations to generate cocktail recipes. John Lermayer was sadly found dead on 6 June 2018 from a ruptured brain aneurysm. He was 45.
