As Nosey Chef has been looking around for cocktails and following loads of cocktail experts on Instagram, it has become clear that sliced, dried citrus fruit is on trend as a cocktail garnish. Making it is crazy easy if you don’t do what I did and get Fahrenheit and Celsius all mixed up.
Dried citrus wheels
- Assorted citrus fruit
Preheat an oven to 70˚C (you may need an oven thermometer to get this right).
Slice lime, lemon and orange. Arrange on a cooling rack. Put the cooling rack on a baking tray, and place in the oven for 6 hours, turning the tray around at Hour 3.
For larger fruit like grapefruit, add a couple of hours.
Store in an airtight container.
